I have worked closely with Sukanta since 2010 and it has been absolute pleasure to work with him. Sukanta possesses profound expertise on Systems Thinking, System Engineering and System level verification and validation, complemented by exceptional leadership capabilities. His passion for teaching and mentoring has been consistently evident throughout his career, positioning him as an effective informal leader during his tenure at the Philips Healthcare Innovation Center in Pune. Furthermore, he is recognized as one of the pioneers in applying system-level verification and validation methodologies to complex medical systems within the Indian context. He has made significant contributions to system engineering and system design across multiple global business units. I was able to experience Sukanta’s training on Systems Thinking for my current team. This training proved to be highly insightful, allowing participants to clearly visualize the system-of-systems, interconnections, and critical leverage points. The practical examples he utilized were highly relevant to our business and organizational context. Due to the significant interest generated, we subsequently extended this training to the next tier of technical leaders within the organization. More recently, we engaged Sukanta to apply his Systems Thinking approach to resolve a particularly complex challenge that encompassed requirements, design, supplier management, manufacturing processes, and regulatory compliance. The initial workshop yielded a system map that was highly revealing to all stakeholders. Subsequent exploration provided us with crucial clarity regarding the underlying interconnections and strategic leverage points necessary to address the issue. We identified three to four key leverage points and developed a corresponding action plan for resolution. I can confidently attest that these actions have made a demonstrable and significant positive impact on this specific area, with results clearly visible across the organization and business.
