Program Overview

PMP stands for Project Management Professional, the PMI Certification for project managers across all industries. Those having 3+ years experience in leading or directing projects are eligible for the certification. The certification is valued across the world, especially in IT, engineering, infrastructure, construction and process industry. The PMP Exam costs INR 35000 for India participants / $544 ($139 membership plus $405 exam fee). This is in addition to the training cost. The Project Management Professional PMP Exam has 180 questions to be answered in 4 hours. All questions are situational in nature. Most questions are objective, while there are some that are match the following, fill in the blanks and video/image based questions. There are no negative marks. Though passing marks are not declared, you need to get around 75% in the PMP Practice Exams shared, to have confidence to pass the PMP Certification exam. Generally 140 hours is needed for preparation after the training, but can vary based on experience and grasping speed. The 4 day training (9-6) covers all project management topics you need to know from an exam perspective and to run projects in your organization. Enough material will be given for preparation (including mock tests), as well as guidance on how to study. There is no expiry date of the PMP Exam Prep Classes - you can give the exam immediately or years later, but it should be within a year of submitting your exam application form. You can take the PMP Exam at a Pearson Vue Center near you (Kharadi/Bhosale Nagar in Pune). You can also give the exam from home (closed book, no kind of external help). This will need a webcam and PMI (via Pearson On Vue) will confirm if you are all set. You will get 2 breaks - after every 60 questions.

Who Can Attend

You need 3 years of project management experience. If you dont have sufficient experience (3 years), you can go for CAPM Certification from PMI - it is the certification for beginners. The training is the same, the book and study is the same as PMP, but the exam is much simpler. This certification enables you to assist project managers as a PMO Analyst or Assistant to the Project Manager.
